Seeing how many women are being affected by job loss and financial stress made a big impact on me. Others are facing family illnesses, church conflicts, and loneliness. Their faith is being tested. Because of our interactions with Barbara, my church has opened its doors as a meeting place for a social club for the blind and has helped to raise money for guide dogs for the blind. Contacts made through the social club have put us in touch with other organizations assisting the handicapped.
