The question is not whether as believers we are exiles here on earth — we are! The question is whether we live like exiles whose citizenship is in heaven, or whether we live as though we are citizens of a city made with hands on this earth.

When Jesus speaks, creation happens. When he called Levi, his words created the capacity in Levi to respond to the call. Should it be a surprise to us that when he calls us, he also creates faith and new life in us so that we are able to follow him? After all, his words create!
